The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) helps make sure that financial services work for people. These services include credit cards, mortgages, and loans, for example. CFPB protects people who keep their money in banks and credit unions. They also protect people who use their credit cards and need loans to buy homes or pay for college. CFPB makes sure people understand the fine print that explains the risks. It also makes sure banks and credit unions play by the rules. Expanding CFPB would provide more protections for consumers.
