This study found that the Somali immigrant community in King County, Washington, experienced barriers to accessing COVID-19 testing due to distrust, stigma, language, lack of awareness, and transportation issues. These barriers resulted in longer times from symptom onset to testing compared to non-Somali respondents. The study suggests community partnerships and multilingual service delivery could improve access to testing.
