Addressing the Cycle of Inaction: A DrPH Student Perspective on the Decolonization of Public Health

The purpose of this commentary is first, to highlight the role of colonialism in perpetuating long-standing inequities among communities of color in the United States and abroad, and second, to provide calls to action for decolonizing public health institutions from a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) perspective. In this commentary, the call for new funding paradigms that are informed by a truth and reconciliation process is made and specific guidance for schools of public health is outlined.
