Mapping Police Violence

This tool allows people to explore police violence throughout the United States. Users can view a moving timeline of incidences in a map format, look at national trends, read police score cards, and compare cities and states in terms of rate of police violence. For the comparison, users can filter by various variables, including year, race, gender, police department, mental illness, whether or not the police officer was charged, and whether the police officer was on-duty or off-duty.
