Beyond Land Acknowledgement: A Guide

This guide outlines the need for non-Indigenous folks wishing to issue land acknowledgment statements to shift focus from verbiage to concrete action steps for supporting Indigenous communities. Steps for creating an action plan and examples of action steps are also included.The problematic nature of the land acknowledgment statement writing process is also discussed, as it often involves asking Indigenous folks for free emotional labor.
