Staff Editor: Sloan Gingg, MPH

Sloan has been the Head Staff Editor for Community Commons since she joined the IP3 team in 2018, sharing her expertise in program development, evaluation, and synthesizing research results and complex concepts into concise, digestible reports and collections. Sloan serves as the Director of Communications and Strategic Outreach, where she manages the Community Commons Communications team, IP3 ASSESS client projects, and works closely with our development team to support technology products. Sloan is passionate about storytelling and data equity, and using data alongside community stories from those with lived experience to inform and advance equitable well-being.


Sloan has 13 years of experience in communications and public health, including time spent working in local public health in small/rural and large/urban communities. Sloan holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center and a BA in Communications. 


Sloan resides in Durango, Colorado and spends her non-work time running and hiking trails in the mountains, as well as caring for her two small children, Haven and Zion.
