This article looks beyond CHNAs to measure performance for Community Health Improvement. It suggests ways to strengthen the CHNA regulations to require that hospitals report the evaluation measures they intend to monitor based on an established community health improvement model. It also suggests the importance of developing practitioners’ knowledge and skills to use population health data effectively.
