Addressing the Intersection of Suicide, Overdose, and Adverse Childhood Experiences: What Is the Capacity of Local Health Departments?

This report provides a summary of local health departments' reporting of their capacities to address the intersection of suicide, overdose, and ACEs in eight capacity domains, including networked partnerships, multilevel leadership, managed resources, data and surveillance, and workforce capacity, among others. Strengths and obstacles of local health departments in addressing this intersection are also discussed, in addition to recommendations from NACCHO for next steps to address these issues.
