This video is part of a series that the EPA created to commemorate 20 years of work on environmental justice. The series features federal and local government officials, non-profit leaders, and students, who tell stories about the lessons they have learned over their time working on environmental justice. In this video, Donna Christensen talks about things that she has learned about as a physician and public health official in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In her area, the power plants, oil refinery, and dumps have led to years and years of negative health effects.
