The influx of scientists to the Arctic puts Tribes in a unique position to inform Western science with Indigenous and Traditional Knowledge as well as promote and utilize traditional management practices. This story discusses this relationship and exchange of information/ways of knowing while also acknowledging the history of inequitable research that has been conducted by Western scientists in the Bering Strait region.
